THE LOLCAT DVD IS OUT!

Posted by jiggitysmith - March 6th, 2008

EDIT: For those of you who may be interested, while I'm going to be a little inactive with the flash for a couple weeks (and on top of that I got the flu so I don't feel like doing anything anyway), I will be randomly releasing some of my music. If you haven't checked it out, I recommend it as they're pretty good listening. Also, if my sentences don't make sense grammatically and whatever, it's because of this flu. I can't think straight at all (it took me like 3 hours just to make that update on my web page and it should have taken maybe like 20 minutes).

Go to http://www.jiggitysmith.com to send a donation and receive a hard copy in the mail (or to get the links for the free downloadable version).

The RAR archives are about 95 megs each and there are 7 of them (for a total of around 660 megs).
These uncompress to about a 2 gig DVD .iso file.

You can skip a few steps here if my web site is down (my hosting blows), you don't want to donate,
or you just want to see it right away:

Mediafire hosting:
Rar Part 1/7
Rar Part 2/7
Rar Part 3/7
Rar Part 4/7
Rar Part 5/7
Rar Part 6/7
Rar Part 7/7

Alternate Upload66 hosting:
Rar Part 1/7
Rar Part 2/7
Rar Part 3/7
Rar Part 4/7
Rar Part 5/7
Rar Part 6/7
Rar Part 7/7

Hope you enjoy it and please leave a post what you thought about it!

Nice, I might buy it, but I've already seen most of the series so I'm not sure :S

Loved the series anyway! MAKE MORE!!

It's cool either way. I just want people to see it mostly (by the way, if you want more, there are three other bonus animations in relation to the Lolcat series on the DVD - counting the rap video).

Could if i had the money =P
But i loved the lolcat series, and they all deserved what they got.

Jiggy, after your break, what do you plan to work on?

Hey it's cool. Obviously I'm going to push a little for some flow, but I'd be more happy with mass distribution than some beer money (well.. bills actually).

I was thinking of doing some sort of trippy video to this song that I wrote a loong time ago. If you're already high, this song WILL make you feel more high (or will freak you at as it has some people I've field-tested it on in the past).

It seems as though there has been a huge influx of these 'trippy' videos on newgrounds lately, though, so I dunno.

I may put that trippy project off and just teach my immediate friends how to use flash and form a group with them (and release a few group projects with some or all of them).

Oh damn, I just thought of a great special feature. You could have done some sort of interview with the cast type thing, with the cats. Shame it's a little late now.

Well. Odds are I'll probably use most of the same people again for any future productions that need voice acting (so if any future animations warrant a DVD, that's not a bad idea to have on there - although some of them are hippies and don't like getting personal *especially* when it's being recorded).

I was going to have a group commentary, but they were just too awkward/paranoid about it.

Good Idea.
If you Take your Time to teach your friends so they can help you,you could make bigger and nicier projects, giving you Many Daily Features and 4.0 Scores,if time and skill is invested on the flash.
I'm supporting you all the way out, your work is a piece of art.=)

Lol well it would be 'our' daily features / 4.0 scores. What will probably happen is I'll assist them in doing their own projects and keep working with them until they get it to a decent quality (and their own skills for that matter) to release on NG.

The voice of the head of the cat council (Nikki), for example, has a really great idea for a first project (that I don't want to give away), but she doesn't know a thing about flash yet.

Yes yes, when i said your friends and the Daily,i meant Everyone.
Anyway,i'm waiting more from you,And your friends.
I'm out!

hey um are you gonna make more lolcat movies?
btw great rap video :D

I might release another bonus feature from the DVD next weekend or something, but I won't be making another Lolcat animation for at least a few months (just think of it as a pleasant surprise when it shows up again).

Hey, mate. I thought the series was pretty silly and enjoyable for the most part. The music and raps were pretty well done. I also loved the parodies, they were cleverly put into the stories. I do, however, have one complaint about the walrus: he is supposed to say, "Goo goo g'joob" not, "Koo koo k'choo." I've been listening to The Beatles since I was a fetus, and they are my favourite band. I loved how you threw that in there, but was a little put off when he didn't say the right thing. Cheers, though on great work otherwise. Good luck on future animations and on finding work.

Oops. (I'm only human)

Glad you liked it :D
